Shingles are only as good as what’s underneath and how they’re fastened. We install to the 2023 Florida Building Code, including nailing patterns and underlayment requirements for our wind zone. When decking needs to be replaced, we prefer 5/8″ plywood or better, and we use proper synthetic underlayment, starter, and ridge components so the whole system works together.
