A fence gives you privacy, security, and a clean property line — and out here, it keeps things where they belong. But the right fence depends on what you are trying to do. Here is a rundown of the main types for Northwest Florida homes and land.
Wood Privacy Fence
The go-to for backyards. A wood privacy fence blocks sight lines, keeps pets and kids in, and gives you a private space. It needs some upkeep over the years in our climate, but it is a classic look that works on almost any home.
Chain Link
Practical and economical, chain link is great for securing a yard or property without blocking the view or the breeze. It is low-maintenance and tough, which makes it a workhorse for a lot of properties.
Ranch and Field Fencing
For acreage, farms, and larger properties, ranch and field fencing marks boundaries and keeps livestock where they should be. It is built for function and long runs across open land — common and useful around our farming communities.
Vinyl Fencing
Vinyl gives you a clean, finished look with very little maintenance. It does not need painting or staining and holds up well to sun and moisture, which is a real plus in our climate.
It Starts With the Posts
Whatever style you choose, a fence is only as good as how it is set. We set posts properly and build with materials suited to our soil and weather, so your fence stands straight instead of leaning after the first wet season. See our fence installation page.
